Do teens deserve the reputation they get for not caring?

Too many times I hear parents make comments about the state of youth today. If I were to take all this for the truth then I would look to most teens as ticking time bombs with legs. Who is right? The older generation that makes these comments or the teens that believe that they are misunderstood?

What do you think?

I think that both are right. Teens feel like no one undertsands them. Grownups should also think about when they were teens how they felt. If grownups looked back then they would see they acted exactly like we do. Teens should act better about some things that they do. Sometimes teens are just looking for people to notice them. Thats what I think. G2G Bye

Caitlin-in your comments you said that sometimes teens just want to get noticed. I ask you what do think gets them noticed best a positive or a negative act? If they already expected to bad..why not do something different and do something meaningful or positive. As an adult I look back on my teen days and I know that I was not a perfect kid. I played my music load..still do and I sometimes drove too fast. I rarely disrespected an adult and I never did anything that would bring my character into question. Some youth today seem to have very little no no respect for themselves or the adults around them. What do you say to that?
